Конспект урока по теме: Страна/Страны изучаемого языка и родная страна. (Международный день Счастья)

Цель урока:

Введение лексических единиц, связанных с понятием счастья и несчастья в странах изучаемого языка и родной стране, используя страноведческий материал. Организация речевого взаимодействия учащихся на материале страноведения двух стран.

Воспитательные задачи:

1. Воспитание готовности и желания видеть и понимать различия и общность в культурах, в мировоззрении их носителей.

2. Формирование уважения к языку и к культуре носителей языка.

3. Воспитание чувства толерантности.

Образовательные задачи:

1. Расширение социокультурных знаний.

2. Развитие межпредметных связей (иностранный язык и литература).

Развивающие задачи:

1. Развитие умения сравнивать особенности культуры нескольких стран.

2. Развитие таких качеств, как самостоятельность и активность.

3. Развитие умения работать в сотрудничестве.

4. Развитие способности и готовности к самостоятельному изучению иностранных языков.

5. Развитие навыка рефлексии.

Языковой материал:

Nouns – happiness, a stork, a horseshoe, a four leaf clover, a raven, a blacksmith, a hoof, stable, a feather, a toy, clue, a dove, luck, faith, a finder, a fairy-tale, a myth.

Adj. – inside, wooden, puff.

Verbs – to be born, to hang, to nail, to save, to pull out, to divide, to share, to bake.

Other words – among, if.

Оснащение урока: компьютер, проектор, презентация к уроку, видео клип для разминки, , музыка для активизации мозговой активности, парные карточки, карточки с закодированными высказываниями, чистые заготовки бумаги, маркеры, карточки с текстами, праздничный конверт, заготовка из бумаги для изготовления птицы счастья.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент и введение в ситуацию.

• Good morning, everybody. Dear children, I hope you’re all well today. Dear guests, thank you for coming. I’m sure you’ll feel happier at the end of this lesson. I think we can start.

• Boys and girls it’s an anagram for you which helps us to understand the topic of thelesson. Let’s solve it. These are cards for you. Find your pair and write your letter on the blackboard. Try to be active in your seach.

(Учащиеся находят пару, используя речевые клише, для описания изображений.)

(Дети вписывают буквы, которые получились при правильном соединении изображения, в анаграмму на доске.)

— Our word is Happiness. Why is this word on the blackboard? What date is it today?

— The 20^th of March.

— Today is International Day of Happiness. (слайд 1 — заявление). Let’s speak about it today!

My congratulations, dear children! Wishing you a Great Day of Happiness, dear guests! Happy Happiness Day! (слайд 2 – поздравления).

(слайд 3 – коллаж) Look at the screen! Can you tell me what is it? What is this collage about? Do you know all the words here? What should we do with the collage? Let’s turn our ideas into steps! (слайд 4 – пошагово) 1^st step – Separate Russian symbols from British. 2^nd step – Distinguish symbols of happiness and unhappiness in our countries. 3^rd step – Find out why are these things connected with happiness and unhappiness. (слайд 5 – перепутать).

2. Актуализация знаний.

— Let’s divide them into British and Russian. (слайд 6 – символы 2х стран). Will you name Russian symbols of happiness? What about unhappiness in our country? (слайд 7 – Россия, счастье, несчастье).

— Now we’re in Great Britain. What are the things for happiness? What can bring you unhappiness? (слайд 7 – Россия, счастье, несчастье).

— It’s high time to make an auction here. What words symbolizing happiness and unhappiness do you know? (Дети называют как можно больше новых слов). (слайд 8 – список всех слов). The winner is…

3. Предъявление нового материала и организация тренировки его употребления.

— My dear children, you‘re very smart! I’m proud of you! I’ve prepared something for you. Can we solve it? ( слайд 9 – высказывание 1).

These are hidden sentences for you! Find them! Write them down on a sheet of paper and stick them on the blackboard! Don’t forget to check your partner group! Good luck! (Дети находят высказывания и вывешивают на доску). (слайд 10 – список высказываний).

— Will you find Russian equivalents for these sayings?

Sayings about Happiness:

1. Happiness takes no account of time. (Счастливые часов не наблюдают)

2. Man is born for Happiness, like a bird for flight. (Человек рожден для счастья, как птица для полёта)

3. Money can’t buy Happiness. (Счастье за деньги не купишь)

4. Happiness is an inside job. (Для счастья работай над собой)

5. Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony. (Счастье в гармонии твоих слов, мыслей и дел)

— Who has the best memory in our group? Who remembers 1 saying, 2 saying…? … is the winner! My congratulations!

— Are you tired? Do you remember Happy Monster. Let’s dance with it! (Ученики поют песню и делают движения Hi 5 — Happy Monster Dance). (Видео)

4. Организация применения нового материала.

• Do you remember step №3 of our plan? It’s to read legends about origin of our symbols. Let’s encode my text together. Look at the screen! (слайд 11 – текст №1). Have you got any ideas how to encode my text? Look at my variant! Will you tell us about four leaf clover?

Text: Four Leaf clover.

The four leaf clover is a symbol of Happiness in Ireland. It brings good luck to their finders. The first leaf is for Faith, the second is hope, the third stands for love and fourth is for luck. There is one four leaf clover among 10000 three leaf clovers.

• Do you want to know how do these symbols appear in Russia? Then don’t waste your time. We have 4 groups. Here you are. Read the text and put it in code. Paper and markers are on the desk. You may use numbers, marks and phrases. When you’re ready, give your code to a partner group and check their speaking. All groupmates are welcome to speak.

Text 1: Bird of Happiness.

Bird of Happiness is a traditional North Russian wooden toy. It is made without clue. Russian hung it in every house. They began to do it 300 years ago in the shape of a dove.

Text 2: Karavay.

Karavay is a traditional round Russian sweetbread. It is the symbol of Happiness and the Sun. The puffier the Karavay, the happier the people will be. Karavay is divided among guests to share Happiness. Only happy woman with children could bake Karavay.

Text 3: Horseshoe.

The horseshoe is a U-shaped metallic object. Under the legend the Devil came to a blacksmith and wanted him to be bad. The blacksmith nailed horseshoes to the devil’s hooves. That’s why the horseshoe saves people from the Devil and brings Happiness.

Text 4: Stork.

If a stork made a nest on the roof of the house, people will live happily there. As the legend goes, when the baby Jesus took birth in the stable, the stork pull out its feathers to give a comfortable bed for the baby.

• (Учащиеся читают легенды и схематично, используя цифры, знаки и фразу, кодируют информацию. Затем группы меняются кодами и готовят свои версии раскодированной информации). (слайд 12 – As the legend goes…, According to the legend…, Under the legend…) Use these phrases for your speaking.

  5. Заключительный этап урока и домашнее задание.

• At the beginning of our lesson we congratulate each other with International Day of Happiness. How did you do it? (слайд 13 – фразы поздравления) My congratulations with the Day of Happiness! Wishing you a Great Day of Happiness! Happy Happiness Day! It’s a tradition to give presents each other on holidays. What symbol can be a present for such day? Of course a bird of happiness. I have envelopes of happiness for you. (слайд 14 — птица счастья). Let’s do it! Look at me and do the same. Let’s present our birds to each other with congratulations. Who wants to congratulate our guests? (Учащиеся собирают птицу счастья и поздравляют друг друга и гостей).

• My dear students if you like our lesson then show a bird of Happiness with your hands, if you think that the lesson is so-so show a snake and if you don’t like our lesson show me a hedgehog.

• For your homework make a list of ABC of Happiness for you, e.g. B-blue sky. If you want to learn more about it write down a family for this word, e.g. happy adj.(слайд 15 – спасибо), don’t forget about the dictionary.
