-Good morning, pupils!

-Good morning, teacher!

-I’m glad to see you, sit down please. Who is on duty today? Who is absent?

Ok. What is the weather like today?

— The weather is sunny. It’s cool outside.

— Thank you.

— Today we get to be acquainted with some teenagers from different English-speaking countries, listen to the dialogues between them and find out if you would like to take part in International teenagers’ competition.

— But first of all let’s remember some words and word combinations. We read them, translate and repeat. Repeat them after me. Good job! Now read them all one by one with translation. Olya, begin please. Very well!

As you see, we have two tables with words there, your task now is to make meaningful word expressions and write them down on the blackboard and in your exercise-books. Who would like to begin? Yes, please.

— Answer my questions please:

1. -Misha, would you like to visit any English-speaking countries?What country?

-Yes, I’d like to visit Great Britain.

— And you, Roma?

-I’d like to visit Australia.

2. Why would you like to visit this country?

— I’d like to visit the USA because it’s a powerful country.

— I’d like to make friends with people and practice my English.

3. Nadya, do you think that travelling can help you to improve your English?

-Yes, I think so.

4. Alex, have you ever taken part in the international competition?

-No, I haven’t, but I’d like to.

5. Can you describe yourself in five words?

— I’m kind, energetic and like to speak English.

At last lesson I asked you to write the answers to the following questions: What is your motto? How do you see yourself in ten years time?

Who would like to read your answers? Very well! What motto did you like the best of all? Can this motto be the one of the whole class or even the nation?

— Are you tired? Let’s have a rest, stand up please!

Hands up! Clap, clap!

Hands on the hips! Step, step!

Bend your left,

Bend your right,

Turn yourself around.

Hands at sides and sit down!

As you remember, we have listened to two dialogues between teenagers last lesson. Let’s remember them and read once again in pairs. Who would like to begin? Yes, please. Do you remember the translation? Now your task is to create your own dialogues. Discuss with your partner if you would like to take part in the Teenagers’ Competition. Words and phrases from ex.4 page 7 will help you. Be ready in 7 minutes. Let’s check your dialogues. Very good!

— What new interesting things have you learnt today? Have you understood everything?

Open your record books and write down your home task: ex.1,2 p.28, learn your dialogues by heart.
