THEME: Sports.
AIMS:
Развитие навыков аудирования по теме.
Развитие навыков устной речи по теме.
Активизация изученного лексического материала в устной речи.
Введение новых лексических единиц.
Развитие навыков чтения.

There is the bell. It’s time to start. Good morning, students. Take your seats, please. How are all today? I hope you are fine.

So, let’s begin. The theme of our lesson is “Sport”. Today we’ll talk about sports. We’ll listen to the tape about the sports in the USA, read the text about sports in the UK, we’ll learn new words and revise other words and expressions on the theme. And, of course, I’ll check your homework- your home dialogues. And at our lesson we’ll play spelling game.

| Let’s find out the best way of keeping fit and what sports do you more healthy? Sveta, do you do morning exercises? How often? (As for me,morning exercises is the best. And what about you? Jogging helps to keep my fit. I am quite sure, that jogging is very good for losing weight.) . And work in pairs and ask each “What sport helps you to keep fit? “ OK. -Can you play tennis? -Are you go in for boxing? |

| Look at the board . There are two proverbs on our theme on it. Toma, read and translate the first one , please. How do you understand it? Do you have the same opinion?

What would you say?
( I see some men, playing volleyball. As for me it is my favourite game. I see two boys, playing chess. I like the game very much. The man is playing basketball. I am crazy about basketball too. A man and a woman go in for sports dances. I wish I were there. The boys are swimming. I wish I were at the seaside now. In my opinion, fencing is not very popular in our town. Golf is very popular game in the UK. Sailing is great! My father adores darts. The girls are champions. Horse-riding is a very amazing sport. Snowboarding is very famous in Europe. As for me, I wish I went in for roller-skating. But I can’t do it. Every morning a lot of people do morning exercises to keep fit. I do it too. I want to go in for karate, but I haven’t much time . ) |
