Конспект урока для 9 класса «To read or not to read»

Разработка открытого урока в 9 классе по теме « To read or not to read» (по учебнику О.В. Афанасьевой с применением технологии ИКТ).

Цель урока: Совершенствование лексических и грамматических навыков по теме «Книги. Журналы»

Задачи урока: а) образовательная совершенствовать у обучающихся учебно-познавательные компетенции, интерес к литературному наследию англоязычных стран, расширять их кругозор;

в) воспитательная: создать положительную мотивацию к дальнейшему изучению языка, воспитывать у учащихся уважение к родной культуре и культуре чтения

г) развивающая: развивать у учащихся память, внимание, логическое мышление, тренировать умение вероятностного прогнозирования, развивать умения и навыки аудирования с извлечением необходимой информации.

Ход урока.

1.Приветствие учителя. Рапорт дежурного.

2. Look at the blackboard and read the quotation of a well-known Russian writer Pavlenko Peter.

“The book read on time is great luck. It can change your life in a way that your best friend or tutor can’t”. According to this quotation what is the topic of our lesson? (Дети выводят тему урока “To read or not to read”). Look at the blackboard again. What shall we do during our lesson? Guess. ( по символам на доске дети формулируют план урока)

3. Фонетическая зарядка. Before we’re going to discuss some questions connected to our topic let’s play a game. You will remember as many words as you can on the topic “Reading”. You’ll name the words one by one. The winner will be the one who will name the word last.

4. Now let’s begin our group discussion. Some people think it’s more interesting to read a book while others prefer watching its TV version. Give your arguments for & against it. For our work to be more productive let’s divide into 2 groups. Who support the idea of reading a book? The others will be your opponents. Give as many reasons as possible. The following phrases will help you to give some advantages & disadvantages (Дети высказывают аргументы за и против).

5. And now let’s watch one presentation done by the student of our school. Enjoy the music, fascinating pictures and simply relax.

6. Do you know how people who devour books are called? (Bookworms). Is it good to be a bookworm? Why?

7. It’s time to listen to the story about two famous people. Do you know what they are? They are famous writers. Before listening to some information about them study the questions in your books. Open your books on page 80, ex.1.You have 30 seconds. Now we are ready to start.(Идёт прослушивание текста и обсуждение по вопросам).

8. Let’s divide into groups. Some of you practice grammar. Open your books on p.79, ex. 9. Another group will work with exercise about newspapers or magazines. Open your books on p.90, ex. 2. Your hometask will be to speak about newspapers or magazines you like. (Работа по группам: сильные работают с грамматическим упражнением на словообразование, упражнение дано в формате ЕГЭ, слабые работают с учителем и разбирают основные идеи, направленные на подготовку к домашнему заданию).

9. Your hometask: on mark “3” be ready to speak about newspapers or magazines using information from the textbook, on marks “4” & “5” speak about newspapers or magazines using information from the textbook and give more details.

10. Reflection of the lesson. Let’s sum everything up. On your desks you can see these circles. Please put them to the statements that you can say about our lesson.

— I’ve understood the text about famous writers.

— I can speak about advantages of reading.

— I can speak about advantages of watching TV.

— I’ve enjoyed the lesson.

— I’ve done grammar exercise without mistakes.
