Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку для 5 классов по теме «История возникновения праздника «Halloween»»

Цель: расширение знаний учащихся о стране изучаемого языка.

Задачи:

— прививать интерес к культуре, традициям, достопримечательностям англоязычных стран;

— воспитывать умение работать в коллективе;

— активизировать имеющиеся знания учащихся.

Оборудование: диски с музыкой и песнями к празднику, костюмы, атрибуты, плакаты.

Ход мероприятия:

1. Организационный момент. Приветствие.

Good morning, boys and girls! Today is 31^st of October. Welcome to our Halloween party!

The air is cool, the season fall,

Soon Halloween will come to all.

Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore …

Tricky witches at your door.

Knock! Knock! – Who are you?

Happy Halloween to you!

Trick or treat! Give me cheese,

Give me a red apple, please!

Give me candies and a cake,

Pumpkin pies for ghost’s sake!

2. Возникновение праздника

Учащиеся делятся на 3 команды. Каждая команда рассказывает теории возникновения праздника Halloween. Учащиеся запоминают информацию. На доску выписывается ключевая лексика по теме, которая поможет учащимся ответить на вопросы викторины, участвовать в конкурсах (fruits, Halloween, Trick—or—Treating, Jack—o—lanterns, bubble gum, plums, nuts, puddings, pumpkin, Ireland, black, orange, apples in caramel, witch, monsters, vampires, devils, ghosts, a black cat).

3. Конкурсы (3 команды)

— Halloween quiz (Answer my questions, please)

1. What country started to celebrate Halloween first? (Ireland)

2. What are the main colours of this holiday? (black and orange)

3. What is the most favourite food for Halloween? (apples in caramel)

4. Which costumes do people prefer to wear? (monsters, vampires, witches, devils, ghosts)

5. What is a well-known lantern made of pumpkin? (Jack-o-lantern)

— Crossword «Snake» (Look at the green board and find out the words)

— Pumpkin (Каждой команде выдаются карточки с предложениями, команды должны поставить предложения в правильном порядке)

— Treat for you (Look at the words and make up the meaningful sentences)

Juices, bubble gum, children, like, and. (Children like juices and bubble gum)
A lot of, eat, vegetables, fruit, and, people. (A lot of people eat vegetables and fruits)

(Listen to me very attentively and guess the words)

She always flies on her broom,

She always flies around the moon

With a black hat on her head

And what do you think, who is that? (a witch)

It means bad luck, don’t look at it

If it crosses your path

And who do you think we call it? ( a black cat)

I am a big and round

Once upon a time I grew on the ground

Now I have a mouth, 2 eyes and a nose

Who am I do you suppose? (a pumpkin)

4. Подведение итогов (подсчитываются баллы каждой команде, распределяются места, раздаются призы).

Учащиеся поют песню.
