Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку по теме «Хеллоуин»

Данное внеклассное мероприятие разработано для 5-го класса с целью расширить знания учащихся о культуре страны изучаемого языка, развивать познавательный интерес к традициям американского народа, артистические качества детей, навыки речевой деятельности на английском языке.

Цели мероприятия:

Расширять знания учащихся о культуре страны изучаемого языка.

Развивать познавательный интерес детей к традициям и обычаям страны изучаемого языка.

Развивать навыки монологической речи учащихся.

Воспитывать ответственность у учащихся.

Развивать артистические способности детей.

Расширять словарный запас учащихся.

Оборудование:

Костюмы приведений, ведьмы, летучей мыши.

Маски приведений, несуществующих животных.

Музыкальное сопровождение (песни группы “Rammstain”).

Тыква, свечи.

Рисунки учащихся на тему : “Празднование Хеллоуина”.

Карточки с надписями поэтапного изготовления тыквы-фонаря.

Фрукты, орехи.

Посуда для салата.

Рисунок огня.

Ход мероприятия

Teacher: Today’s mini-show is devoted to the peculiar interesting period of celebrations in America – Halloween.

Pupil 1: Halloween is one of the best holidays for children. American children celebrate Halloween on the 31st of October. They wear masks and colorful costumes. The most popular costumes are ghosts, witches and skeletons. The children walk door to door in the neighbourhood and shout “Trick or treat!”.

Pupil 2: Most people give them a treat- candy or fruit. People also decorate their houses and schools in the traditional Halloween colours-orange and black. Halloween is coming…

What treats would you like to get ?

Pupils: Cucumbers, fruits, juices, bubble-gum, plums, nuts, pudding.

Pupil 2: What tricks will you play on people ?

Pupils:

We’ll pull down fences.

We’ll put on spooky faces.

We’ll dig up pumpkins.

We’ll cut pumpkin faces.

We’ll play loud music.

We’ll jump and run round the house.

Pupil 1: Are you ready to do it all?

Pupils: Yes, we are.

Scene 1: Дети в красочных костюмах стучатся в дверь и произносят “Trick or treat!”. Хозяева угощают детей.

Teacher: Now we’ll see if you can make a Jack O’Lantern. By the way, what is a Jack O’Lantern?

Pupils: It’s a carved pumpkin with a candle inside that looks like a face.

Teacher: You are right. So, try to do it yourselves. But before it let’s play a game. Here are the cards where you can find some notes. You should put these notes in the right order to make a Jack O’Lantern.

Scene 2: Учащиеся встают в ряд, держа в руках карточки с надписями, как поэтапно делать тыкву-фонарь, и зачитывают их:

Take a huge yellow pumpkin.

Cut eyes.

Cut a nose and a mouth.

Put the candle inside the pumpkin.

Light the candle.

Put the pumpkin near or in the house.

Teacher: That’s quite right. Try to make a Jack O’Lantern. Here is a pumpkin, a box of matches and a candle.

Учащиеся делают тыкву-фонарь.

Teacher: You know that the traditional meal of Hallowe’en is fruit salad. We’ll try to do it ourselves. Listen to the recipe.

Scene 3: Ученик произносит рецепт фруктового салата, а в это время остальные участники готовят салат.

Take juicy fruits, plums and nuts.

Chop the nuts.

Cut juicy fruits and plums into cubes.

Put the fruits, plums and nuts into a plate.

Put some sugar.

Teacher: That smells good. Take the spoons and taste it. Is it tasty?

Pupils: Yes, it is.

Teacher: Everyone tries to look scare on Hallowe’en. Let’s see if scare faces can make us shiver.

Scene 4: Учитель произносит слова, а учащиеся в костюмах привидений пугают аудиторию.

The pumpkin calls a witch…

The witch calls a bat…

The bat calls ghosts…

The ghosts scare us all…

We all scare the ghosts.

Teacher: There is one more tradition on Hallowe’en. Each girl hangs her shift over the back of the chair before the fire and all wait in silence till midnight strikes. Then they repeat a charm watching their shifts. The girl whose shift moves first will be first to marry.

Scene 5: 3 девочки сидят перед свечой и читают заклинания. В это время мальчик срывает со стула сорочку одной из девочек и убегает.

Teacher: To learn if she is really loved by her friend a girl should put a nut into a fire.

Scene 6: Девочка бросает в огонь орех и произносит:

If he loves me pop and fly.

If he doesn’t – lie and die.

Teacher: (спрашивает у зрителей) Did you like our show?

Spectators: Yes, we did.

Teacher: Can you answer our questions?

Spectators: Yes, we can.

Учащиеся по очереди задают вопросы, зрители отвечают.
